Intelligence or Willpower???. . .

"Try and try until you succeed". This was my motto as we had our new lesson. Another day, another lesson again that we had tackled but this was more exciting compared to the previous ones.

We were getting deeper and deeper as we go on and I was so curious about this HTML tags. But I can't believed it, because when I was in my 2nd year high school, I used to visit different websites in the computer and just copying the codes for the texts, graphics, images, videos and others without knowing what were those codes and now, we are studying it little by little. I already knew how to create HTML tags, its uses and functions, and the other HTML tags. At first, I was so dissapointed for I didn't know how to use those tags and apply those things that I had learned but I really pushed myself to understand them. I had my advanced readings and participated attentively in our class discussions. I also analyzedthe steps in making all our activities. During September 27-29, when we went to San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte to attend the Regional Science Congress and participated in the pageant, I was so worried because I had missed many lessons. When I arrived at Vigan, and attended the class early morning of October 1, I had to finish my hands-on activities as well as written activities. I did not understand those but I asked my classmates about it and they even lend me their notes so I understand it very well. I was even shocked because we had our unit test and I got 41 correct answers out of 44 items. I was really challenged with this lesson and I really enjoyed this.

As we will go on, I will be more serious and willing to learn everything, have my advance readings, participate well in class discussions and explore new ideas. " Willpower can cause more failure than lack of intelligence".

. . .SUCCESS IS IN MY HANDS. . .

"Learning is the key to success." As we are growing, we learn continuously until we grow old and face different challenges in life.
1st periodical test was over, new trials, challenges and problems were faced too. As we go on, we learned new informations and knowledge that will lead us to our success. During the month of August, we celebrated Buwan ng Wika with the theme "A gift of tongues for a strong nation." Different contests were held like oration, essay writing, poster-slogan making, quiz bee and extemporaneous speaking. Our section being the overall 2nd place, was so happy and proud. After this, we started our regular class in different subjects. In Computer, another lesson for all of us. We discussed about the HTML tags and how to do it. I was so curious about this and at first, I can't understand what our teacher was saying. But as we go on, with our lesson and explained it further, I understand it already. Of course, I payed attention and very eager to learn. I read more about our topic and explored more. As we continue our discussion, I have my advanced readings and analyzed it seriously. I also improved this blog and explored more about the ISNHS website. I will strive harder and do my best to have a better performance not only on this subject but also in all my other subjects.
Mistakes cannot be easily seen at the beginning but realized at the end. Learn from our own mistakes to achieve our goal at the end. While you are still at the bottom, learn to know others so that even when you are at the top and did not change, they will not hate you and dislike by everyone.

Knowledge is Power.....

For the past 2 weeks, these were my busy days doing my projects, assignments, reviewing my lessons and group activities. I enjoyed a lot but I was really very tired.
Before, my problem was I'm hard in understanding my lessons but as days passed, I still continue my study habits like advanced readings and paying attention to the teacher. I was so glad that the results of these were good especially in my quizzes and participating in class discussions too. I realized, if I really pay attention and concentrate well, I will gain more knowledge and I will learn more. Last July 16-20, Nutrition Month was celebrated by the TLE Department with the theme, "Healthy lifestyle ng Kabataan, Landas sa kinabukasan." They sponsored contests like oration, Nutri quiz, Nutri-jingle and food festival which was the most enjoyable part. In the Nuti-jingle, our section made our best but unluckily, we did not win. Well, that served us a challenge and try our luck next time. In the food festival, everyone of us enjoyed selling, buying, and making our products too. The products were so delicious and they were easily sold. I've learned a lot in this Nutrition Month Celebration. Then, last week, we were busy doing our investigatory projects and other projects in different subjects like Chemistry, English and Values.
All of these were very nice and exciting. Although, it took a lot of time to finish all my works and a very tiring weeks, I've learn a lot and still, I want to continue my good study habits in order to get high grades and achieve my goals to become successful in life.

1. What are the new learnings or discoveries that I have learned?

When our classes started, I'm very curious especially in my computer subject. Since we have a new curriculum, we first discussed about the internet. This includes the history, different internet services, and tools,major components of this internet-web browser and web server, types of data in the computers, search engines and its different kinds, how to use search engines, how to mine the internet, web or weblog, search terms and other terms or words involved in the internet. . . . . . .

2. What are the problems or challenges that I have encountered?

As we go on with our topics, I've also met different problems, first is my understanding on how these things happen or why these things happen. Sometimes especially in discussion, as if we are running out of time so, I have to read my notes so that I can understand well. When we have a quiz too, I'm always worrying about it for there are so many things to remember. . . .

3. How did I adressed these challanges?

Well, well, well. . . . . . . Whenever we have our class, I pay attention to the teacher, participating on class discussions, self-study too. When I go home already,explore more and advance readings in our next lessons. . . .

I will strive harder to understandour next, next lessons and improve my abilities and search or explore more informations and read more about our topics. . . .
